Warsie is the term used by fans of the Star Wars movie saga.
Much like the use of the term Trekkie for Star Trek fans, though the two groups are rivals, Warsie is used to describe an enthusiast of Star Wars movies and culture.
The term was most likely coined during the 1970s when the movies began though the origins are not precisely known.
Today, the term can be found on many fan sites and boards.

    Culture

The culture of the Warsie group is one of extreme fanaticism.
From the collection of memorabilia to reenactments of Star Wars moments, the fans devote much of their time to exploring the Star Wars universe. Premieres of novels, video games, or movies are some of the best opportunities for Warsies to share their collective love of Star Wars, but fans will also find other chances for expression, including national census answers as seen with the Jedi census phenomenon.
Conventions are also a gathering place for fans.
With their appreciation of Star Wars, the Warsie subculture has been a prevalent force in popular culture for almost 30 years.
