Warren is a city in Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. The population was 46,832 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Trumbull County.
Geography
Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 46,832 people, 19,288 households, and 12,035 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,124.5/km² (2,911.6/mi²). There were 21,279 housing units at an average density of 510.9/km² (1,322.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 71.94% White, 25.20% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.42% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 1.98% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.04% of the population. There were 19,288 households out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.4% were married couples living together, 19.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.6% were non-families. 32.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 3.01. In the city the population was spread out with 26.3% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 86.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.9 males. The median income for a household in the city was $30,147, and the median income for a family was $36,158. Males had a median income of $32,317 versus $23,790 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,808.
