Waltham Cross is the most south-easterly town in Hertfordshire, England.

The town generates some historical interest, despite redevelopment, as it is the location of one of the Eleanor Crosses, which can clearly be seen in the town centre, and because London's Temple Bar monument was formerly located in some woodland just outside the town. It is located at UK , just south of Cheshunt and north of Enfield.

Waltham Cross has the usual mixture of shops, many inside the Pavilion shopping centre. It also has a fairly large bus station, linking bus services from Hertfordshire and Broxbourne with the London service. Waltham Cross railway station links directly with London Liverpool Street, the journey taking approximately 30 minutes.

Recently, Park Plaza, a large News International printing works which will be responsible for pressing copies of newspapers such as The Sun and The Times, was proposed for development on land to the west of the town centre, adjacent to the Holmesdale Tunnel, the A10 and Junction 25 of the M25 motorway. Despite significant opposition from local residents, the local council (Broxbourne Borough Council) seems to have given the development the green light, as building of the complex already seems to be underway. It is also thought that the current refurbishment of the nearby Holmesdale Tunnel is to allow for large lorries to access and leave the plant easily via. the motorway. The resulting roadworks have also caused massive inconvienence to residents in the area due to increased congestion on both the motorway and local roads.

Cliff Richard went to King's Road Primary School in Waltham Cross.
