Victor Joseph Mignogna (born August 27 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania) (Italian Name: Vittorio Giuseppe Mignogna, (last name pronounced Min-ya-nah) is a prolific voice actor who has done voice work for dozens of anime series, movies, and video games. Mignogna is most well known for his dub role of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. Mignogna also auditioned for the role of Orochimaru on Naruto, however he lost the part to his best friend Steven Blum. It should be noted that the producers originally wanted him to play the part but Viz Media rejected him. Mignogna is also one of the most featured voice-over actors on Youtube with over 200 videos featuring either him, his songs or another aspect of himself. Mignogna also appeared on Star Search in 1993 singing a song called "Worth Waiting For".
Fanbase Vic Mignogna is a celebrity among fans of English anime dubs; his roles as characters such as Dark Mousy, Gawl, and especially Edward Elric and the evil Broly from the 3 Dragon Ball Z movies, along with his crazy interaction with his fans, have generated a large fanbase. He is a guest at many anime conventions across the United States and Canada. He now has an official fanclub headed by dedicated fans, which continues to grow constantly. The club, Risembool Rangers (named after Edward Elric's hometown in Fullmetal Alchemist) has members in almost every state and across the world, including fellow voice actors Caitlin Glass and Scott McNeil. The members of this official fanclub have rivaled themselves against Travis Willingham's Mini-Skirt Army. The rivalry usually has had members of the fanclubs playing a dodgeball or volleyball-type match against each other, and usually occurs if Travis and Vic are appearing at the same Convention.. Vic's appreciation for his fans led to the creation of the short film Fullmetal Fantasy. Vic Mignogna is also a huge fan of the Star Wars and Star Trek series. He hosts his own fan site, Light Saber World. Ironically, he has stated in several interviews that he is also a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, and that voicing the part of Edward Elric was probably his most memorable role in his voice acting career. However, these statements were made at Fullmetal Alchemist panels at anime conventions, so it is possible (and very probable) that he is also a fan of several other anime series.
