    The University of Pittsburgh School of Law was founded in 1895. In 1900, it became a charter member of the Association of American Law Schools. The School of Law received ABA approval in 1923.

    Pitt Law School is housed in the six-story Barco Law Building on Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood, on the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh.
