TAG Group (Holdings) SA is a private holding company based in Geneva, Switzerland, and owned by Mansour Ojjeh and Akram Ojjeh, wealthy Saudi entrepreneurs. TAG is an acronym of Techniques d'Avant Garde.
History TAG was formed in 1975. TAG Heuer was formed as a subsidiary in 1985 when TAG bought Heuer, a renowned watchmaker specializing in racing chronographs. Together they modernized the product line and became one of the biggest names in Swiss watches. TAG Heuer was separated from the group in the 1990s and was acquired by LVMH in 1999 for $740 million USD. * Aviation TAG Aeronautics is distributor of Bombardier aircraft for the Middle East. TAG Aviation is a provider of business aviation services, aircraft management, aircraft charter, maintenance, sales and acquisitions. TAG Farnborough Airport Ltd. is a subsidiary of TAG Aviation which holds a 99 year lease on Farnborough Airport from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence. Motorsport TAG sponsored WilliamsF1 in the early 1980s and funded the construction of turbocharged Porsche engines for Team McLaren in the mid 1980s. The McLaren relationship continues to this day, with Mansour Ojjeh holding 30% of the McLaren Group.
