    Tape usually refers to a rolled up strip of long, thin and narrow matter; however a notable exception to the scheme of the definition is its misnomerous reference to audio media in disk or solid state format after the introduction of the audio tape.

    Tape could also refer to any of these


    Tape measure
      Twill tape, a narrow, sturdy woven fabric used like string
      Red tape, a colloquialism for heavy or undesirable bureaucratic process
      Tape (pr. (tah-peh), an alternative spelling of tapai, an Indonesian fermented food.
