Sunrise is the breakfast time programme on Sky News between 6:00am and 9:00am on weekdays and 6:00am to 10:00am on weekends. It has been on air since February 1989. As of the channel's revamp on 24 October 2005, Eamonn Holmes and Lorna Dunkley are the regular presenters of the weekday editions of the show, with the weekend presenters being Steve Dixon and Emma Crosby.
The show typically includes a roundup of overnight news developments, coverage of breaking stories, a look at the morning's newspapers and a look ahead to expected developments later in the day. Usually there is also a considerable amount of light-hearted banter between the hosts. The format is subject to change in the event of major breaking news.
