Skypecasting is a portmanteau of 'Skype' and 'podcasting'. It refers to the use of the Skype voice over IP software to record teleconferences in which multiple people can be present in a broadcast despite being geographically distributed and publish them as podcasts, which allow audio or video content to be syndicated over the Internet. The first "Skypecast" was recorded by Australians Cameron Reilly and Mick Stanic in their first G'Day World podcast, 26 November 2004.
