    Robert Littell (born January 8, 1935 Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an American author and former Soviet affairs journalist for Newsweek whose work often concerns the CIA.

    He is a 1956 graduate from Alfred University.

    His novel The Amateur was made into a film of the same name in 1981.

    Littell resides in France.
