    Primary is an adjective meaning "first" or "firsthand". It may refer to:
      The Primary Association, a children's organisation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
      In astronomy, the primary is the most massive component of a gravitationally bound system.
      The Primary beams, or Primaries, used in E. E. Smith's Lensman series. The energy required to generate the beam was such that after firing, each projector had to be discarded as the energy of the primary beam quickly rendered it useless.
      In the United Kingdom medical fraternity, the 'Primary' is short for the Primary Examination of the Diploma of Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, or 'Primary FRCA'.
      A Primary functional group (or usually ion) attached to carbon atom connected to 1 or no other Carbon atoms in organic chemistry
      Primaries are the longest remiges (wing feathers) in birds. They attach to the hand.
