Premonition refers to a situation when future events are foreknown or forecast. Premonitions are usually treated as a result of paranormal or supernatural feat (see Cassandra myth).

Famed blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan also had a prophetic dream, which he related to his bandmates a mere 20 hours before his death in a helicopter crash.
