Powell Motor Company (PMC) was southern California company that was best known for their line of motor scooters that peaked in popularity in the late 1940s. In the 1950s Powell manufactured pickup trucks and station wagons,and focused again on scooters & mini-bikes during the scooter boom of the 1960s.
The struggling company lasted from the mid-1930s to the mid-1960s. During its life-span it produced 1,020 pickup trucks, 300 station wagons, 3 motor homes, and tens of thousands of scooters and industrial/delivery vehicles.
