      Pin (device), device used for fastening objects or material together
        Brooch, a decorative item fastened on apparels
        Badge or button, a small (usually round) piece of metal or plastic with a pin attached, usually worn on clothing
        Award pin, a small piece of metal or plastic with a pin attached given as an award for some achievement
      Bridge pin, a vertical wire on the bridge of keyboard instruments such as the piano and harpsichord that is used to control the string resonances

    In sports and strategy games pin may refer to:
      Pin (chess), a scenario where if a lesser piece is under attack and moves away, it would reveal a more valuable piece
      Pin (bridge), a manouver to drop an opponent's lower-ranking card by leading a high one.
      Bowling pins, which must be knocked down by the bowling ball
