    Onkyo the company{{Nihongo|Onkyo Corporation|オンキヨー株式会社|Onkyō Kabushiki-gaisha}} ({{Jasdaq|6729}}) is a Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer, specializing in home cinema and audio equipment.

    The company started under the name of Osaka Denki Onkyo K.K in 1946. The current Onkyo Corporation umbrella includes the Integra and Integra Research divisions as well as the main Onkyo brand.

    Onkyo the musical style
    Onkyo or is also what some people call a form of free improvisation, emerging from Japan in the late 1990s.

    It is typified by small and often quiet musical gestures, and liberal use of both electronics and silence. Prominent musicians working in this area include Toshimaru Nakamura, Sachiko M, Yoshihide Otomo and Taku Sugimoto.

    Onkio Haus (Onkyo House) the recording studio
    (aka Onkyo House) is a company operating sound recording, mixing and mastering studios in Ginza, Tokyo, owned by Magazine House, Ltd. and others. It also provides postproduction facilities for TV programs and commercial films. The studio is renowned for being used for recording and mixing Japanese popular songs and jazz music.
