Molly is a 1999 film directed by John Duigan and written by Dick Christie. It is about an autistic woman on whom is performed an experimental surgery. In the story, Molly is transformed from being mentally handicapped to genius and the story follows the repercussions of this change. Elizabeth Shue stars as Molly. The story was filmed previously as Charly and Flowers for Algernon, which is the title of the book on which all three versions are based.
