This is an alphabetical list of all astronauts, cosmonauts, and taikonauts who have flown above the internationally recognized 100 km boundary of space. Names in italic are astronauts that have left Low Earth orbit.
The article on space disasters lists people who died during spaceflight attempts or while training to become astronauts. As of 2006, a total of 450 people had travelled to space.

William Anders, first Asian-born person in space. (Anders was born in Hong Kong, but was an American citizen of Caucasian parents.)
Anousheh Ansari (b. 1966), fourth space tourist and first female space tourist, first female Muslim in space, and first Iranian in space.
Neil Armstrong (b. 1930), flew on Apollo 11 and was the first person to walk on the Moon.
