The Lake of Fire is a biblical term for the final death. (Hell is a temporary location until the world ends.) The phrase can be found in the Book of Revelation four times - 19:20, 20:10, 20:14, and 20:15 as God's messages are revealed to John (its author). Many Christians believe Revelations foretells future events which will take place prior to, during, and after the Great Tribulation. The Beast and the False Prophet
"… and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet..." who have led men astray will both be cast alive into a "Lake of Fire burning with brimstone."
"… and the devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
