LG Electronics () () is an affiliate of the South Korean LG Group which produces electronic products. The previous company name was Lucky Goldstar. Before the corporate name change, many electronic products were sold under the brand name Goldstar, while some other household products (not available outside Korea) were sold under the brand name of Lucky. The Goldstar brand is still available but is a lower quality brand than the "LG" brand. LG is now one of the leading producers of electronics in the world. Their advertisements encourage people to assume that LG stands for "Life's Good", but this is a backronym.
