Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers is a documentary about the 2002-2006 Iraq War and the behavior of companies with no-bid contracts working within Iraq. The movie was made by Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films. The movie criticizes the perceived greed, waste, and ineffectiveness of the contractors in a war that has been privatized by corporations on a historic level. Specifically, the film claims contractors are over-billing the government and doing substandard work while endangering the lives of American soldiers and private citizens. The documentary contends these major four companies are composed of ex-military and ex-government workers who unethically help these companies get and keep enormous contracts and milk the American taxpayer. The companies criticized are: Blackwater, KBR-Halliburton, CACI, and Titan.
Response Despite the fact that the majority of the information comes directly from interviews of former Halliburton workers, their families and government documents and hearings, Halliburton states the film is "yet another rehash of inaccurate, recycled information." abcnews.com source Greenwald requested interviews with the contractors, but they turned him down.
