The Imperial Inner Circle was the leadership of the Empire. It was seen in session in Episode IV. Emperor Palpatine acts as the leader of the Imperial Inner Circle, with key Imperial military leaders forming the body. Some prominent members of the Imperial Inner Circle include Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader, and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Also included in this group were key members of the Imperial Security Bureau and representatives from the army and navy. The Imperial Inner Circle discuss only affairs related to the military and those of the state.
The Imperial Inner Circle was formed in conjunction with the Council of Moffs to discuss Imperial affairs.
