ISS Avenger (NX-09) is the flagship of Admiral Black. It commanded a destroyed fleet in action against the rebels of the Terran Empire in Star Trek's Mirror Universe as shown in the Star Trek: Enterprise two-part episode, "In a Mirror, Darkly". The ship's motto is Audentes Fortuna Imperii (the Empire is fortunate and bold). ISS Avenger contains a highly racially diverse crew of various species from across the Empire, including Vulcans, Andorians, and at least one Orion female. ISS Avenger is an NX class starship, the same class as ISS Enterprise. After Avengers alien crewmembers mutiny against the Empire, the ship is destroyed by the ''Defiant'' under the command of Jonathan Archer. ISS Avenger characteristics: The original Captain of the Avenger was killed when a piece of shrapnel struck him in the head (in the first scene set on board the Avenger we see him, already dead, on the bridge). After the captain's death, Admiral Black took command of the vessel. Following Black's assassination, the Mirror Universe version of Soval briefly takes command, but all aboard are killed when the Defiant fires on and destroys the ship.
