The tenth ''Eagle'' was a 3rd rate ship of the line that was attacked by the submersible ''Turtle'' during the American Revolution.

The fourteenth ''Eagle'' was an early aircraft carrier, converted from an unfinished Chilean battleship Almirante Cochrane and launched in 1918, and sunk in 1942.

A 36,800 ton ''Audacious'' class carrier to be named Eagle was laid down on 19 April 1944, but cancelled the following year.

The fifteenth ''Eagle'' (R05) was one of the Navy's largest aircraft carrier, in service from 1951 to 1972.

A careening hulk of 894 tons named Eagle is recorded as purchased in 1592 and sold in 1683, but was not a commissioned ship.
