    History
HC Davos was founded in 1918 and was highly successful, dominating the Swiss championship for over three decades from 1926 to 1960. The team was, however, relegated into League 1 in 1990, one of the lowest points in its history. After a new beginning the club moved into the Nationalliga B, and two years after that returned to the top flight, Nationalliga A. Since then Davos have been among the best teams in the league with the highest class of play, with recent league successes in 2002 and 2005.

In 1923 Davos presented the first Spengler Cup. As a Class A team, Davos plays in this tournament as well, although they are usually strengthened by players from foreign Class A clubs.
