Geosphere is a term denoting the solid part of Earth which is made mostly of rock and regolith.
The main divisions of the geosphere are the crust, mantle, and core. The outer core is unusual in that it is liquid and a part of Earth's interior.

One specific part of the geosphere is the lithosphere which consists of the crust and the upper mantle above the asthenosphere. The term "lithosphere" is sometimes confused with "geosphere." However, the geosphere is much more than just the lithosphere.

In computer graphics geosphere can also mean a polygonal tessellation, or polyhedron, used to approximate a sphere. It also commonly named geodesic sphere.
