Faltha (Fal-thuh) is an imaginary continent of the north-western hemisphere of a world created by Russell Kirkpatrick. It is the main setting to his first trilogy; Fire of Heaven. The capital of Faltha is Instruere, home to the Council of Faltha and located on the Aleinus River. Faltha is an alliance of sixteen independant kingdoms. Russell Kirkpatrick spent all of 1985 making a huge atlas of Faltha so that the story (Fire of Heaven) would have strong anchors.
Firanes Pronounced: (Firr-uh-ness) The Westernmost of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha. Named for the sunrise on the heights of the Jawbone Mountains. Capital City: Rammr Plonya Pronounced: (Plonn-yuh) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located between Firanes and the wild Widuz country. Capital City: Ciennan Treika Pronounced: (Tree-kuh) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located between Widuz lands and the Remparer Mountains. Capital City: Laverock Deruys Pronounced: (Dee-roys) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, a coastal land south of Straux. Capital City: Brunhaven Nemohaim Pronounced: (Nee-moh-haym) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, set on the southern Bay of Bewray. Once home to Bewray, guardian of the Jugom Ark. Capital City: Bewray Tabul Pronounced: (Tah-bull) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, a southern inland kingdom with great mineral resources. Capital City: Ghellol Vertensia Pronounced: (Verr-ten-see-yuh) One of the southern Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, a land of coastal gardens and severe highlands. Capital City: Jardin Deuverre Pronounced: (Doo-vair) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located north of Straux in central Faltha; rich, densely populated farmland. Capital City: Plafond Straux Pronounced: (Strouw) The most populous of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located south of the Aleinus River on the wide central plains. Capital City: Mercium Sarista Pronounced: (Sah-ris-tah) Southernmost of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha and the last to be settled. Saristarians are dark-skinned. Capital City: Kauma Redanaa Pronounced: (Re-dar-na-ah) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, an inland country on the southern bank of the Aleinus River, hemmed in by the Taproot Hills. Capital City: Kaskyne Piskasia Pronounced: (Pisk-ay-zha) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located south of Sna Vaztha along the banks of the Aleinus. Capital City: Turtu Donija Favony Pronounced: (Fah-vone-ee) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located on the central Falthan plains north of Straux. Capital City: Sturrenkol Asgowan Pronounced: (Az-gouw-in) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located north of Deuverre. Capital City: Stanare Haurn Pronounced: (Hown) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located north of Asgowan. Annexed by Sna Vaztha in 1006. Capital City: Hauthra Sna Vaztha Pronounced: (Snarr Vazz-thuh) One of the Sixteen Kingdoms of Faltha, located to the north-east of Faltha.
