Dogpile is a registered trademark of InfoSpace, Inc. Dogpile began operations in November of 1996, became part of the Go2Net Network in 1999 and was acquired by InfoSpace in 2000. The study showed 3% overlap between Google, Yahoo!, and Ask Jeeves. 85% of the results were unique to one of the three engines. Dogpile's other features include: Dogpile's mascot is a dog, specifically a Dalmatian, named "Arfie", that "fetches" search results in news, web, images, and music. Like the Google logo, Arfie will occasionally change his appearance for certain holidays and other events.
