    Degenerate orbitals for electrons in an atomic subshell are orbitals at identical energy levels (by definition). These are important in Physical Chemistry because they affect the ways electrons fill atoms (see Hund's rule).For eg:All the 3 p orbitals have same energy level and so does all 5 d orbital.Energy levels are calculated by "n+l" rule where 'n' is the Principal Quantum Number whereas 'l' is Azimuthal quantum no. .
