Corel PHOTO-PAINT is a raster graphics editor sold by Corel, a software company with headquarters in Canada. PhotoPaint does not have a large market share but is comparable with Photoshop in terms of its features. While just about every version of Photo-Paint released managed to keep up with Photoshop's features, PHOTO-PAINT introduced several innovations of its own, including multiple undo and text on a curve which predated Photoshop by two years.

The current version is Corel PHOTO-PAINT X3 (actually version 13). It is not sold by itself, but instead included with CorelDRAW (CorelDRAW Graphics Suite). Its main uses are image manipulation and web graphics. As of version 11 Corel increasingly gave attention to the PC photography user. Support for the Windows Image Acquisition-interface and EXIF was introduced and even a Red Eye Removal Tool was added. The last version available for Macintosh was version 11. Version 9 was also made available for Linux, however, it was less of an actual port as it depended on Wine to run. It was released as freeware and could be downloaded directly from Corel's website, although CorelDRAW 9 for Linux was not freeware.
