The following is primarily a list of manufacturing corporations in the fictional Star Wars universe. Alderaan Biotics Alderaan Biotics was a hydroponics company based on Borleias which supplied foodstuffs for Alderaan until that planet was destroyed by the first Death Star. Afterwards, the facility was abandoned until it was rediscovered some years later by General Evir Derricote, who re-established the company to produce the initial strains of the Krytos virus. After Borleias was liberated by Rogue Squadron, Alderaan Biotics became the New Republic's main manufacturing facility of rylca, a medicine to cure the Krytos virus. Alderaan Motors Alderaan Motors was an Alderaan-based company that supplied vehicles and starships for the planet. It was destroyed along with its namesake planet by the first Death Star. Arakyd Industries Arakyd Industries is a major manufacturer of droids, heavy weapons and starships. The company was loyal to the Empire and pioneered A.I. advances, its most noteworthy achievement being the Viper Probe Droid model, which the Empire used to discover the hidden Rebel base on the planet Hoth. Apart from the Viper Probe Droid its other most famous product was the XR-85 Tank Droid. Aratech Repulsors The Aratech Repulsor Company specializes in speeders and other repulsorlift vehicles, including speeder bikes and other scout vehicles. It is known mainly for its standard military bike, the 74-Z military speeder bike that was mainly used during the reign of Palpatine, but the company managed to survive due to supplying the New Republic. Arbor Industries Arbor Industries is the first company owned by scientist Jenna Zan Arbor. She funds the company using criminal methods, such as releasing a virus on a region and selling them the cure for a high price. Bacta Cartel The Bacta Cartel is a monopoly of the Star Wars galaxy's two bacta-producing corporations, Zaltin and Xucphra. The cartel arose when these corporations were given an exclusive contract by the Galactic Empire to produce and distribute bacta. The cartel is largely responsible for inflating bacta prices throughout the galaxy. Both have their headquarters and manufacturing facilities on Thyferra. Humans control the companies, but Thyferran-native aliens known as Vratix produce the bacta. Baktoid Armor Workshop The Baktoid Armor Workshop was a Trade Federation-owned design firm that specialized in developing rugged all-terrain ground vehicles for use by civilians. A Baktoid design tended to be heavily armored, with delicate or important components placed in secure, well protected areas near the rear of the craft. Early Baktoid vehicles were rarely manufactured with weapons, but they did possess standard weapons emplacements allowing combat modifications to be made after purchase. In order to build its secret army, the Trade Federation provided Baktoid with funding for a complete line of ground assault vehicles and transports. It is also rumored that the Trade Federation arranged a merger between Baktoid and Haor Chall Engineering arms merchants, although Baktoid denied this claim. Nevertheless, with the Trade Federation's support, Baktoid began work on several new craft, including the fearsome AAT battle tank and the nearly unstoppable MTT. During development of these vehicles, the company made a conscious effort to adhere to a unified design style, resulting in a line of vehicles reminiscent of large and dangerous animals. After the Battle of Naboo, the Trade Federation tried to distance itself from the Baktoid Armor Workshop, which was accused of providing the front line assault vehicles used in the capture of Theed and other settlements. The Trade Federation dramatically dissolved Baktoid, only to quietly transfer many of the company's manufacturing facilities and designs to other Trade Federation subsidiaries. Slightly before the Battle of Geonosis, strict restrictions on parts for Battle Droids caused Baktoid, with the prompting of the Trade Federation, to shut down its remaining factories on Foundry, Telti, Balmorra, Ord Lithone and Ord Cestus leading to the events of the Cestus Deception. Its sister company, Baktoid Combat Automa was, however, kept alive secretly. Sources Baktoid Combat Automa Baktoid Combat Automata was the sister company of Baktoid Armor Workshop, both of which were owned by the Trade Federation. Although both companies shared similar origins and boards of directors, the two companies are otherwise totally dissimilar. While Baktoid Armor Workshop was a public company specializing in creating the vehicles and large weapons, Baktoid Combat Automata operated in secret, providing the Trade Federation with illegal droids and smaller blaster weapons for its droid army. Whereas Baktoid Armor Workshop was publicly (and dramatically) dissolved following the Trade Federation's failed blockade of Naboo, Baktoid Combat Automata continued to operate in the service of the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Because it was a virtual unknown in the business world, the company managed to survive the end of that conflict, the subsequent rise and fall of the Galactic Empire and the emergence of the New Republic, although new designs came very rarely. Sources Bespin Motors Bespin Motors is a Bespin-affiliated corporation notable for its cloud cars and tibanna gas availability. It is the galaxy's leading cloud car company. The company was designed because of the creation of Cloud City. BlasTech Industries BlasTech Industries is a market leader in the manufacturing of personal energy weapons and light artillery. BlasTech also manufactures a number of starship weapons including turbolasers, ion cannons and missiles. Some of the company's key works include the DC-15 Blaster Rifle, E-11 blaster rifle, DH-17 Blaster Pistol, DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol. Because the company refused to work exclusively for the Empire, many BlasTech weapons have found themselves in Rebel hands. Byblos Drive Yards The Byblos Drive Yards were Imperial shipyards orbiting the planet of Byblos. The planet is likely named after the port city of Byblos, which was a major shipyard. Commerce Guild First appearing in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the Commerce Guild was a group of major corporate institutions that have come together to protect their pursuit of profits. The Commerce Guild is led by Shu Mai, who was present in a meeting of Separatist leaders in Geonosis. She knew that supporting the Separatists would amount to treason but she could not resist the lure of promised wealth. She allied herself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Clone Wars and supplied armies of Droids to them. Products of the Commerce Guild include the dwarf spider droid and the homing spider droid. It fell when President Mai was killed along with her aide. Corellia StarDrive Corellia StarDrive was a successful, if short-lived, starship manufacturer. The company was founded by a former Corellian Engineering Corporation (CEC) executive one millennia before the outbreak of the Great Sith War. Corellia StarDrive was well known for both its civilian and military vehicles; many warships of the Old Republic's Navy were designed by the company. This supremacy would not last long; the whole of the company's senior design team was killed in a freak shuttle crash. Corellia StarDrive never fully recoved from the loss and was subsequently bought by CEC. Products Corellian Engineering Corporation Corellian Engineering Corporation (CEC) is one of the three largest starship manufacturers. Unlike the company's main competitors (Kuat Drive Yards and Sienar Fleet Systems), CEC relies almost solely on civilian sales rather than military contracts. They are well known for their modular freighters that can be upgraded for combat with both legal and illegal after-market kits. These popular freighters range from the YG series first made centuries before the Battle of Yavin to the VCX series produced shortly before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. CEC, whose shipyards are located in the Corellian system, owes much of its success to the abnormally high numbers of skilled designers, engineers, and shipwrights the system produces. Corporate Alliance The Corporate Alliance is the negotiating body for several of the galaxy's largest commercial firms. Because of its position, the Corporate Alliance was able to control the sales and the distribution methods of its member companies. Thus the Corporate Alliance was very wealthy and had considerable influence in the Galactic Senate. During the last days of the Republic, the Corporate Alliance was represented in the Senate by its Magistrate Passel Argente. Like the Trade Federation and Intergalactic Banking Clan, the Corporate Alliance had its own security forces to defend its interests and to seize any territory it desired. However the Corporate Alliance began to use its security forces to conquer rather than defend and many of its leaders became frustrated with the bureaucracy in the Senate which limited the Alliance's profits. Eventually, the Corporate Alliance allied itself with Count Dooku's emerging Separatist movement with the promise of unlimited profit under a new government. During the Clone Wars, the Corporate Alliance pledge its security forces and the deadly Tank Droid. After the devastating Clone Wars, the Corporate Alliance like the other commerce guilds faded into oblivion. It should not be confused with the Corporate Sector. The Corporate Alliance also employs non-droid troopers, which are specialized soldiers of the military forces of the Corporate Alliance. These Troopers were deployed as alternatives to battle droids, or in tactical situations where battle droids would be a hindrance. Actual organic troops proved to be a lot better than most droids during The Clone Wars. The Troopers were primarily mercenaries recruited from the Koorivar, who were the main species of the Corporate Alliance. Their ability to change their skin color on demand also gave them an advantage in stealth. They were armed with any weapon they choose, mostly sniper rifles. It has been rumoured that the Corporate Alliance is going to make an appearance in Star Wars Galaxies. Cybot Galactica Cybot Galactica is one of the two largest droid manufacturing companies in the galaxy. The other is Industrial Automaton. Cybot Galactica dominates the market in protocol droids. C-3PO, by far the most famous protocol droid , was made out of parts from scrapped Cybot Galactica droids. Cygnus Spaceworks Cygnus Spaceworks is a corporation that specializes in the production of gunboats, including the Assault Gunboat and the Missile Gunboat. Czerka Corporation Czerka Arms, formerly known as the Czerka Corporation, was a Galaxy-spanning business during the reigns of the Galactic Republic, Galactic Empire, and New Republic. It controlled interests on Korriban, Kashyyyk, Tatooine, Telos IV, as well as countless other planets. History During the time of the Jedi Civil War, Czerka, under the leadership of Pollard Seario, allied with the Sith and engaged in various criminal activities. On Kashyyyk, Czerka Corporation enslaved the Wookiees, secretly aided by the usurper chieftain Chuundar. In Knights of the Old Republic the player can decide to aid or fight czerka corporation altering events. However, Czerka was eventually driven from Kashyyyk. Czerka's official explanation of their withdrawal from Kashyyyk was due to "scaling back." Czerka also founded the town of Anchorhead on Tatooine. They were one of many in a long line of companies to discover the inferiority of Tatooine ore and the ferocity of the native Sand People first hand. They eventually resorted to employing the Jedi Revan to protect their sandcrawlers and kill the chieftain of the local sand people tribe. In time, however, Czerka departed Tatooine, abandoning their sandcrawlers and leaving Anchorhead to be resettled once more. It is revealed that Anchorhead, a settlement on Tatooine mentioned in A New Hope, originated as a Czerka mining outpost. The corporation also ran the colony of Dreshdae on Korriban before the planet was abandoned. After the defeat of the Sith by the Republic, Czerka, fearing bad publicity for their alliance with the Sith, changed their name to Czerka Arms. Czerka held a majority of the contracts to restore zones in the Telos Restoration Project on Telos IV. Here the player could decided to aid Czerka or force them to withdraw from the planet. Czerka sold their products freely during the days of the Galactic Republic, but signed a deal with the Galactic Empire when it rose to power. However, Czerka munitions made their way to aftermarket sales from warehouses, despite the official stance of the company. One example of this was the Czerka ZX miniature flame projector used by the bounty hunter Boba Fett. When the New Republic replaced the Galactic Empire, Czerka continued to have a large role, being the third-largest weapons producer behind BlasTech and Merr-Sonn. It made some energy weapons, but found a niche in non-blaster personal weapons and "non-standard" munitions, manufacturing flame projectors, vibroblades, and slugthrowers. FreiTek, Inc. FreiTek, Inc was founded by ex-Incom Corporation designers shortly after the Battle of Endor. FreiTek quickly became a major manufacturer of military vehicles. They are open supporters of the New Republic; their first major design, the E-wing starfighter, was created specifically for the New Republic. FreiTek supports their R&D department by selling upgrade kits for older starfighters.• Products Fondor Shipyards The Fondor Shipyards is a huge orbital starship construction facility located on the planet Fondor, in the Fondor system. The shipyards were seized by the Galactic Empire shortly after the Battle of Yavin, and used to construct Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, the Executor. Fondor defection to the New Republic is uncertain. The Marvel Comics in "Supply and Demand" stated that less than a year after the battle of Endor, Fondor was already building ships for the then Alliance of Free Planets. There are also several incidents where Fondor may have been captured by the New Republic, ranging from Tales of the New Republic when a single squadron was tasked with capturing starships. Fondor is featured again in the New Jedi Order, where she was the crux of a crucial battle against the Yuuzhan Vong. Deceived by the Vong, the New Republic was caught fatally off guard by the attack at Fondor. She lost many vessels, including friendly fire by a mis-aimed shot by Centerpoint, a superweapon at Corellia. General Bel Iblis later took up station at Fondor after the fall of Coruscant, either recapturing it from the Yuzhan Vong or to defend it against further Vong assaults. Gallofree Yards, Inc. Gallofree Yards, Inc. was known for transports and freighters. The company's vehicles were not as innovative or reliable as those made by Corellian Engineering Corporation. Gallofree Yards eventually filed for bankruptcy shortly before the Battle of Yavin, though many of their starships remained in active use as a part of the Rebel fleet. Products Geentech Corporation Geentech Corporation owns the planet of Gorsh in the Outer Rim. They have developed a large number of pharmaceutical products from the unique chemical compounds found on that planet. Golan Arms Golan Arms is a weapons manufacturing organization, which is famous for the creation of both the CR-1 Blaster cannon, a weapon used by elite Rebel Alliance starfighter aces while on the ground, and the FC-1 Flechette Launcher, used by certain Imperial forces. The Rebellion raided Golan Arms HQ and smuggled the CR-1 and the HH-15 missile launcher. They also produce the "Golan Arms" defense platforms around Corusant, in the EU. Also, before the Battle of Hoth, many Golan Arms Anti-Personnel turrets, the tall, white colored ones, as opposed to the more satellite dish shaped ones, were installed to protect Echo Base Haor Chall Engineering Haor Chall Engineering was a company founded by the fanatical Xi Char, a religious order devoted to high-precision manufacturing. The insectoid Haor Chall worked in cathedral factories on the planet Charros IV. The Trade Federation contracted the Xi Char to create the vehicles used during the invasion of Naboo. During the Clone Wars, the Republic sent an army of clone troopers lead by Jedi Knights to destroy the factories on Charros IV, permanently crippling the company. Sienar Fleet Systems absorbed what little remained of Haor Chall Engineering shortly thereafter.Star Wars: Databank|Trade Federation landing ship Products Starfighters Transports Ground Assault Craft Aquatic Assault Craft Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. Hoersch-Kessel Drives is a manufacturing corporation based on the planet of Kessel. Its products include the Trade Federation's Droid Control Ship and the Commerce Guild Destroyer, as well as the more recent T-Wing Holowan Laboratories Holowan Laboratories is a company credited with designing both the IG-100 droids used to serve as General Grievous's personal bodyguards and the IG-series asssasin droids, including IG-88 and IG-72. The organization dates back to the time of the Old Republic. It served as an independent assassin droid development corporation. When General Greivous joined Palpatine, he was forced to content with the battle droids of the Trade Federation. For his personal protection, he was more picky, and Dooku contracted Holowan Laboratories to design the Magna Guards used to protect Greivous. In the time of the Galactic Empire, Palpatine used Holowan Laboratories to develop the IG-series assassin droids for the purpose of hunting the Rebel Alliance. The project was primarily headed by Supervisor Gundun, who was ironically killed by IG-88 a few months prior to the creation of the Second Death Star. When the IG-88s and IG-72 went psychotic and killed the designers, Holowan Laboratories took a serious blow. They were held responsible for releasing killer assassins to the galaxy at large; the public relations damage to the corporation severely hampered its business. Many important personnel of the company, primarily developers, were hunted down by IG-88 and IG-72 later on, crippling, but not destroying the company. It is unknown on how Holowan Laboratories fared during the New Republic Era. Based on the anti-droid ideas of the Yuuzhan Vong, the company likely went out of business and closed. It is possible that it helped develop weapons for the New Republic, even the YVH-1 droids, though this is unlikely. Incom Corporation Incom Corporation designed and manufactured the T-65 X-Wing Space Superiority Fighter, which was one of the Rebel Alliance's primary starfighters during the Galactic Civil War. They manufactured several other starships and some atmospheric vehicles as well. When the staunchly independent company was nationalized by the Empire, much of its staff defected to the Rebel Alliance, taking with them the plans for the X-wing starfighter. Incom never flourished under the Empire, producing only "average" fighters such as the I-7 Howlrunner. Many employees that left Incom before the Imperial takeover formed FreiTek, Inc; a company devoted almost solely to the New Republic. After the fall of Emperor Palpatine, Incom tried to maintain neutrality by providing ships to both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. Industrial Automaton Industrial Automaton is a company that was formed from a merge between Industrial Intellect and Automata Galactica at a point prior to the Clone Wars. The company is one of the two largest droid manufacturers in the galaxy; the other being Cybot Galactica. Industrial Automaton produces numerous droid types, but is most famous for its R-series Astromechs (the most notible of these being the famed R2-D2). Other notable droid series' produced include the MD-series of medical droids and the LOM-series protocol droids. InterGalactic Banking Clan The InterGalactic Banking Clan is an organization that extended its support to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Clone Wars. This financial juggernaut was represented by San Hill, a Muun from the planet Muunilinst at their formal meeting recorded in the second prequel Star Wars movie Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. One of the products of the InterGalactic Banking Clan was the powerful hailfire droid that was used during the Clone Wars. The Banking Clan is also responsible for the IG series of droids, including the IG Lancer Droids who fought in the Battle of Muunilinst, bounty hunter IG-88, and the IG-100 MagnaGuards, the personal bodyguards of General Grievous. The headquarters of the InterGalactic Banking Clan is also on Muunilist, and the Galactic Republic battle to take that planet was shown in the Star Wars: Clone Wars microseries on Cartoon Network. Janur Industrial Armor Janur Industrial Armor was a group of small time droid factories merged under one corporate entity. They churned out security and manual labour droids for the Republic for many years until the eruption of the Clone Wars. The JIA board were unsure of what to do next and withdrew from galactic society until the twilight of the war. JIA promised to make battle droids for the Confederacy in return for funding for its own projects. Mere days later, the Separatist Council was assassinated by the infamous Darth Vader and JIA negotiations broke down. Eventually it was shut down and its board captured for treason against the Empire. Koensayr Manufacturing Koensayr Manufacturing is a company, featuring starfighter parts (about 80% of yearly revenue). The main fighter built has been the Y-Wing, though this was phased out of service in favor of the B-Wing, and Koensayr focused on production of the A-Wing Mark-II. Koensayr holds many offices on planets in the galaxy, and some of their parts work into all kinds of ships (in fact, nearly one-fifth of all operating starships use Koensayr parts). Products Kuat Drive Yards Kuat Drive Yards is the largest military shipbuilding corporation in the Star Wars universe. It owns several subsidiary corporations including Kuat Systems Engineering and Rothana Heavy Engineering, the latter of which provided armament and ships for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's clone army during the Clone Wars. Coincidentally, the Kuat Drive Yards corporate logo closely resembles the Triforce from Nintendo's popular Legend of Zelda video game series. Loronar Corporation Loronar Corporation is an Imperial-based manufacturing firm located on the planet of Loronar and the Jade Moon. It is credited for designing and manufacturing the Torpedo Sphere, and was responsible for creating the ubiquitous and highly modular Loronar Strike Cruisers. Nine years after the Battle of Endor, the corporation was involved in a scandal on the planet of Nam Chorios, which involved enhanced space needles and synthdroids. Noted for having the resources to create the massive Super Star Destroyers, like the Iron Fist and the Razor's Kiss MandalMotors One of several companies that attempted to capitalize on the exciting reputation of the Mandalorian warriors, MandalMotors was allegediy founded by a retired Mandalorian officer. Though this story can be neither confirmed nor denied, MandalMotors has established itself as a leading designer of military starships. During the Clone Wars, MandalMotors was accused of supporting a "mercenary mentality" because the company supplied weapons and vehicles to both the Republic and the Confederacy. Under the Emperor's control, MandalMotors was blacklisted until the company agreed to install Imperial "advisers" on its executive boards. Once the Empire fell, MandalMotors ousted its Imperial managers and became a reliable developer for the New Republic Products include Prince Xizor's Virago and the StarViper-class attack platform. Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc Merr-Sonn Munitions, is one of the three top weapons manufacturers in the galaxy, falling only slightly shorter of BlasTech in total revenues. The company boasts a huge line of personal and vehicle weapons in addition to artillery and starship weapons, electronic targeting systems, and personal defenses. Subsidiary companies such as Merr-Sonn Mil/Sci produce everything from heavy artillery to siege weapons. Mobquet Swoops and Speeders Mobquet is a ground craft design firm famous for its creation of the A-1 Deluxe Floater. Offworld Corporation Offworld was a large mining organization led by a group of Hutts and the Dark Jedi Xanatos. Its fronts were numerous and included the Telos company known as UniFy. Some of Offworld's major operations include Telos and Bandomeer. Offworld also served as the first major enemy that Obi-Wan Kenobi ever faced. Olanji/Charubah Olanji/Charubah is a Hapes-affiliated company that specializes in the creation of the Hapan Battle Dragons, among other Hapan ships. Rendili StarDrive Rendili StarDrive is a starship manufacturer based on the planet of Rendili. Rendili StarDrive manufacturing can trace its origins back to the founding of the Old Republic. It had a mediocre existence until it was chosen to build the Victory-Class Star Destroyer and Dreadnaught-class space cruiser. Since then, Rendili has spent much of its time designing new capital ship designs, but nothing as popular as these designs. Rendili was one of the original Signatory Sponsors of the Corporate Sector Authority. Rendili is a major warship manufacturing company. Unlike Kuat Drive Yards and similar corporations, it tends to produce smaller support ships, transports, and other odd vessels in addition to traditional designs. Among Rendili DriveYard's ventures and commercial alliances are the Rendili Vehicle Corporation, Rendili/Vaufthau Shipyards LTD., and Rendili-Surron. Santhe/Sienar Technologies Santhe/Sienar Technologies is a massive umbrella corporation that manufactures an exceptionally wide range of vehicles and weapons. Originally Republic Sienar Systems (RSS), Santhe/Sienar Technologies provided numerous starships for the Old Republic for many millennia. During the Clone Wars, RSS produced many vehicles for the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), much to the disdain of the Republic Senate. Sienar Fleet Systems Sienar Fleet Systems (SFS), along with Kuat Drive Yards, is a supplier of military vessels for the Galactic Empire. However, while KDY supplied the Empire's massive Star Destroyer fleet, SFS supplied the small, yet deadly TIE fighters. Throughout the Empire's rule, SFS produced massive amounts of the craft and also made several TIE variants, along with the Interdictor Cruiser. SFS was also accused of constructing Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator, but Raith Sienar, the CEO of SFS, denied connection to the craft. While he denied connection, there was evidence that the Sith ship was linked to him and Sienar Design Systems; the design of the command pod later showed up in the TIE fighter series. Slayn & Korpil In the Star Wars fictional universe, Slayn & Korpil is a manufacturer owned and operated by a Verpine colony in the Roche asteroid field. Joining the Rebellion shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the company's most notable contribution is the B-wing starfighter (which were used extensively in the Battle of Endor). Slayn & Korpil also made fighters for the Old Republic during The Clone Wars.Star Wars: Databank|V-19 Torrent starfigter Products SoroSuub SoroSuub is a massive Sullustan corporation specializing in mineral processing. Divisions and subdivisions handle everything from energy mining to food packaging. The company's tech division develops and produces weapons, droids, sensors, vehicles, and other common technological goods. SoroSuub employs about half the population of Sullust, and in the early days of the Galactic Civil War, even took control of the planetary government. Unlike many companies in the Star Wars universe, SoroSuub actually looks out for its employees. However, when SoroSuub took control of Sullust, they allied with the Empire, despite the fact many Sullustans supported the Alliance, secretly supplying them with equipment during the Galactic Civil War. After many acts of sabotage, led by former SoroSuub pilot Nien Nunb, SoroSuub switched sides, and eventually restored the Sullustan Council. SoroSuub began supplying vehicles to the Alliance and later, the New Republic. Subpro Corporation Based in the Inner Rim Territories, Subpro Corporation is responsible for the Z-95 "Headhunter", among other starships,. Unfortunately, buyers in the Core Worlds often consider Subpro's vehicles to be of lesser quality simply because they are manufactured far from the center of the galaxy. More knowledgeable pilots recognize that Subpro produces superior craft, usually for far fewer credits than its competitors. As a result, Subpro craft are a common sight in the Outer Rim Territories, where they are used by enterprising merchants, smugglers, and others who know a good value when they see it. Subpro co-contracted with Incom on the ARC-170 starfighter and Z-95 Headhunter; Incom took the lessons from this partnership to heart in the development of their definitive product, the T-65 X-Wing. Taim & Bak A relatively small manufacturer of starfighter and space station weapons systems. Techno Union The Techno Union is a major technological union consisting of starship, computer, weapons, and droid manufacturers. The company is mainly run by Skakoans, a race dependent on technology. They had also held a position in the Galactic Senate and allied with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the last days of the Old Republic. With the rise of the Empire, what was left of the Techno Union's holdings were integrated into the Imperial war machine. The foreman of the Techno Union is Wat Tambor. Member companies include: Member planets include: Notable designs include: Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps is a small, well-educated design firm that manufatures both starfighters and civilian vehicles solely for the people of Naboo. Many of their vessels (ie: the N-1 Starfighter) utilize components made by the Nubian Design Collective. Theed Palace engineers produce vehicles that have both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly natures. The N-1 features an elegant spaceframe and modified engines to reduce emissions. Being selected to design a royal starship--each of which is one-of-a-kind--is considered the highest honor in the Corps. Products Trade Federation The Trade Federation is a Nemoidian-operated corporation, famous for its battle droid armies. The organizations provided the forces behind Sidious' plot to invade Naboo, in addition to providing the Separatists with significant manpower. TransGalMeg Industries Inc. TransGalMeg Industries Inc. (TGM) is a starship and starship components production company. TGM is primarily a producer of civilian components; their most famed product is the external hyperdrive ring used by the Jedi starfighter. UniFy Corporation UniFy was a front for Offworld Corporation on the planet of Telos. It was behind the game Katharsis, which was a way to bribe civilians into giving half of their winnings to the corporation. The owner of Offworld, the Dark Jedi Xanatos, directly manipulated UniFy to control Telos and provide him with a sanctuary after his attempted destruction of the entire Jedi Order. Moreover, as a front for Offworld, UniFy mined Telos' national parks. When the operations were exposed in The Day of Reckoning, UniFy's fate became blurred. Xucphra Corporation The Xucphra Corporation is one of two bacta-producing corporations in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Based on Thyferra, it was granted a contract by the Empire, along with the Zaltin corporation, to produce and market bacta for the entire galaxy. The two corporations make up a monopoly known as the Bacta Cartel. Zaltin Corporation Together with the Xucphra Corporation, the Zaltin Corporation produces and markets bacta for the entire Star Wars galaxy. The corporation is based on Thyferra, and, along with Xucphra, was granted a contract by the Empire to produce bacta. This contract gave Zaltin and Xucphra a monopoly that came to be known as the Bacta Cartel. Notes | |||||||
