Cannon Spike, known as Gun Spike in Japanese arcades, is Multi-directional shooter arcade game released in 2000 by Psikyo and in 2001 for the Sega Dreamcast by Capcom. It uses Capcom designed characters and character names and references and runs on Sega's Naomi Hardware. Cannon Spike is similar to games like Smash TV and Capcom's Commando, although with primary focus on boss fighting.

    Characters
The most interesting aspect of the game is its playable characters, that come from a range of Capcom games. Playable characters include:

The game also includes one other character made specifically for it, Simone, who hasn't been featured in any game since, but shares a few similarities with another Capcom character, Linn Kurosawa, from Alien vs. Predator (Arcade). Another noteworthy fact is that Capcom used a picture of MegaMan Trigger, from Mega Man Legends, in the game manual, while the Mega Man featured in the game is from the original Mega Man series.

In the game players battle a group of terrorist robots as one of seven characters from popular Capcom games, like Mega Man and Cammy. Other familiar characters include Charlie from Street Fighter, Arthur from Ghosts 'n' Goblins, and B.B. Hood from the DarkStalkers series. New characters include Shiva, an ex-snowboarding champion, and Simone, a fencing champion. The action-shooter gameplay contains both shooting and hand-to-hand combat, and features an isometric view. Players fly around by using "motor boots," and strategically avoid enemies' projectile attacks while counterattacking.
