Introduction

r 2008}}The is a fictional clan existing in the 30th century in the Sailor Moon metaseries. It comprises the antagonists of the second major story arc, which is called Black Moon in the manga and which fills the majority of the Sailor Moon R anime. In the dubbed anime they are called the Negamoon Family in an attempt to connect them to the Negaverse, the dub version of the Dark Kingdom. The two groups are unrelated in the original.Members of the Black Moon Clan come from Planet Nemesis, a fictional tenth planet of the Solar System. It is described as a planet of "negative energy", having the ability to vanish from sight, but remained traceable by X-Rays. All members of the Black Moon Clan have black, upside-down crescents on their foreheads (the inverse of the marking of the Silver Millennium). They wear earrings which, according to the Materials Collection, are made of Black Crystal and allow them to teleport.

Death Phantom (Wiseman)

, who calls himself , is an immortal form of Chaos from the future. In the English version of the anime, he is just called "The Wiseman" and is said to serve the Doom Phantom, a dangerous being who supposedly created the universe and now wishes to destroy the world he created through the powers from the "Dark Gate". In the anime, the Death Phantom is represented by a skull in a black hooded robe, and near the end of the series it is revealed that Wiseman is in fact Death Phantom. In the manga, Death Phantom was a human who lived in the kingdom of Crystal Tokyo, and possessed dark powers which he used to wreak havoc upon the citizens of Crystal Tokyo. These powers were death hands, able to reach great distances to attack people, and his evil vision, capable of controlling others with a glance. He was banished to the barren tenth planet, Nemesis, by Neo-Queen Serenity. Death Phantom merged his spirit with the planet and became one with Nemesis. He cloaked his decayed and crumbling human body, and went to Earth in order to look for discontent. He convinced residents that the 30th century utopia of Crystal Tokyo was an abomination against nature, as all of its citizens were given immortality through the power of the Silver Crystal. Thus the Black Moon Clan was born. Calling himself the Wiseman, Death Phantom led them in an attack on Crystal Tokyo, and then into Sailor Moon's past to obtain the Silver Crystal and have his revenge.Death Phantom cares little for his pawns; he manipulates them, and even kills Rubeus in the manga and Saphir in the anime. He is also responsible for condemning Esmeraude to a dark-void and killing Prince Demand in the anime. When faced with a new conduit for power, in the form of Chibiusa, Wiseman makes her his Black Lady. When Demand comes to his senses and blasts the Wiseman, the decayed body shatters, but Black Lady only laughs and reveals that Wiseman is Nemesis. With all of his followers gone, and Black Lady reverted to Sailor Chibi Moon, he creates a dark energy swirl to kill the Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon attack the planet with a Double Moon Princess Halation and he is destroyed. In the manga only, he appears in a flashback during the final story arc (Stars) telling Sailor Galaxia about the Galaxy Cauldron. In the anime, Death Phantom approached Prince Demand when he was younger. The Black Moon Clan were the descendants of traitors exiled to Nemesis centuries before by Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion of Crystal Tokyo, and, posing as Wiseman, the Death Phantom manipulated the clan into gathering power for him, with the ultimate goal being the opening of the Dark Gate. He promised he could give them the power and ability to go to Earth and appeal to Neo-Queen Serenity for amnesty for the citizens of Nemesis, who had committed no crimes themselves. Wiseman's influence warped the minds of his pawns until they carried out his plan for revenge and the ultimate destruction of the planet Earth. The Wiseman counsels Rubeus during his mission for a lo
Crimson Rubeus

is the first member of the Black Moon Clan to appear in the 20th century. He is charged with finding a person codenamed "Rabbit", who had fled into the Tokyo of the past. Besides following the orders of Prince Demand and Wiseman, he leads his own set of minions, the Ayakashi Sisters. In the manga, he kidnaps Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Jupiter but fails to capture Sailor Venus. He is loyal to Prince Demand, appearing with him to taunt the captured Sailor Moon. He realizes that there is more to Wiseman than what he sees and he is killed by Wiseman when he confronts him.In the anime, Rubeus arrives in the present in his spaceship to look for Chibiusa. He is the love interest to K?an, the youngest, though the majority of the sisters are in love with him. Petz's love for Rubeus is more platonic than romantic. However, he does not return their feelings, and is in fact, using them as pawns. At one point, he even states to Wiseman (who warned him something bad will happen to K?an) that she is a subordinate. He shows this when he gives K?an a bomb to kill herself with, and later tries to kill all four sisters. Following the Ayakashi Sisters' reform, Rubeus is visited by Esmeraude who tells him that Prince Demand is getting impatient with Rubeus' failures and plans to kick Rubeus out of his services. After Esmeraude's visit, Rubeus kidnaps the Sailor Senshi and blackmails Sailor Moon into bringing the Silver Crystal in exchange for her friends. Sailor Moon comes to rescue them, and Rubeus takes her and Chibiusa aboard his spaceship. A battle ensues for the custody of the Sailor Senshi. Chibiusa destroys the crystal that controls his spaceship causing it to catch fire. After Sailor Moon attacks Rubeus, the Sailor Senshi are freed and they, Chibiusa, and Sailor Moon teleport away, leaving Rubeus onboard his burning ship. Rubeus is confronted by Esmeraude and begs her to take him back to the future. Esmeraude mockingly refuses and leaves Rubeus in the unstable spaceship saying he's failed too many times to be of any more use. The spaceship explodes killing Rubeus. In the end, his obsession with killing Chibiusa is his downfall. Esmeraude reports to Prince Demand and Wiseman that Rubeus was killed in battle, but never mentioned that she left him to die.His end in the anime is an ironic twist, as he once used the Ayakashi Sisters as expendable pawns, while in the end he was revealed to be nothing more than a pawn himself.Rubeus appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video game. He is encountered in the past outside of the Ark near the Temple of Venus in Rias.In the anime, Crimson Rubeus was voiced by Wataru Takagi. In the dub, he was voiced by Robert Tinkler.

Green Esmeraude

is the second of the Black Moon Clan to appear. She is a selfish and vain woman who tries to emanate a goddess-like appearance by wearing an elegant, tight-fitting dress along with opera-length gloves and knee-high stiletto boots. She has a distinctive laugh, loud and piercing, and is the most comedic member of the Black Moon.In the manga, Esmeraude's obsession with Demand still exists. After failing to kill the Sailor Senshi using her subordinates Chiral and Achiral, she attacks Chibiusa in the 30th century, after taking off her gloves to reveal her monster-like hands. After trying to strangle Chibiusa, she is stopped by Sailor Venus. Sailor Moon attempts to use Moon Princess Halation on Esmeraude, but it doesn't work. Esmeraude uses her multiple hands to strangle Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, and Tuxedo Mask. When King Endymion's spirit appears behind Tuxedo Mask, allowing him to use Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber, Tuxedo Mask uses his new power to kill Esmeraude, freeing the other Sailor Senshi. In the anime, Esmeraude visits Rubeus telling him that Prince Demand is getting impatient with Rubeus' failures and plans to kick Rubeus out of his services. Esmeraude eventually succeeds Rubeus passing up the chance to save his life from his exploding spaceship upon stating that he has failed for the last time. She is infatuated with Prince Demand, who is obsessed with Sailor Moon. Consumed by her jealousy and greed, Esmeraude goes to Wiseman to demand Prince Demand and ruin Sailor Moon. He presents her with a magical tiara which, he claims, will make her the queen of Crystal Tokyo. Suspecting a catch, she accepts the gift and is transformed into a 'queen'. Her power increases and she believes Demand will be all hers. Then, she becomes overwhelmed by the dark powers and changes into an evil dragon. She attacks the Crystal Palace while the Sailor Senshi face her, unaware that the monster is Esmeraude. She attacks, but at the last moment, Sailor Moon defeats the dragon. Esmeraude reappears as the queen she wanted to be, surrounded by a heavenly glow, but a dark void opens up underneath her. Unable to save herself, Esmeraude slips into the dark vortex, and vanishes. She whispers Demand's name after her disappearance.Esmeraude appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video game. She is encounted in the past at the Kainess Ice Caves an optional boss where the Sailor Scouts fight her in dragon form and then in normal form. She mentions that Prince Demand has the Barazuishou. In the second official Sailor Moon popularity poll, out of fifty choices, Green Esmeraude was ranked the twenty fourth most popular character in the series.Esmeraude was voiced by Mami Koyama in the Japanese version of the anime and by Kirsten Bishop in the English version. In the musical, she is played by Miki Kawasaki.

Blue Saphir

is the alchemist of the Black Moon Clan, and the younger brother of Prince Demand. He is more cautious and rational than his companions. He is the only member of the Clan that does not wear earrings made from Black Crystal, despite having invented them.Blue Saphir is voiced by Tsutomu Kashiwakura and in English his voice is provided by Lyon Smith. In the musicals, he is played by Yuri Kuroda.

Prince Demand

is the leader of all of Planet Nemesis in the 30th century. In the manga, the Black Moon Clan were descendants of criminals and traitors who hated Crystal Tokyo. Prince Demand hated the people of Crystal Tokyo because he felt they were corrupt and that their long lifespans were blasphemous. Wiseman sought him out, convincing him to draw upon the power of the Black Crystal of Nemesis. Prince Demand formed a plan to go back in time before the influence of the Moon Kingdom began, using the power of the Black Crystal, to create a new history. In the Black Moon Clan's initial attack on Crystal Tokyo, the queen rushed out of the Crystal Palace in search of Chibiusa. Demand saw her and became obsessed. After comparing an angry look that Sailor Moon gave him with the one he received from Neo-Queen Serenity, Prince Demand realized they were the same person, and kidnapped Sailor Moon, bringing her back to Nemesis. Once she awoke he kissed her, but she slapped him and attempted to transform, only to discover that the dark energy on the planet absorbed her powers and made her unable to do so. She did, however, finally escape along with her friends, which caused the palace on Nemesis to collapse. Prince Demand realized that Wiseman was using him and turned on him. Saphir attacked him, and Demand was forced to kill his brother. He stole the Silver Crystal of the present from Sailor Moon and the one of the future from Black Lady, and attempted to bring them together to destroy the time-space continuum, but Sailor Pluto used her forbidden Time Stop attack and prevented it. After his plans failed, he attempted to kill Sailor Moon, but was killed when she and Tuxedo Mask combined their powers against him.In the anime, Prince Demand's history is different. Born on a prisoners' planet, Prince Demand originally intended to reason with Neo-Queen Serenity, explaining that he and his people are descendants of criminals, not criminals themselves. Wiseman manipulates the young prince to be unforgiving to the people of Earth. During an attack on Crystal Tokyo, Prince Demand sees Neo-Queen Serenity and falls in love with her. He is fascinated with her eyes, and the anger they bore toward him during the glimpse they caught of each other. In the beginning of the New Silver Millennium, the people of the Black Moon Clan refused the purification offered by Neo-Queen Serenity at the formation of Crystal Tokyo, and were subsequently banished to the planet Nemesis. A manipulated Prince Demand led his people as they sought revenge on the people responsible for their banishment, despite the fact that he was infatuated with the queen. After seeing Wiseman kill Saphir however, Prince Demand's grief and hatred enables him to rebel against Wiseman. When Demand went to the past and encountered Sailor Moon, he recognized her as the past form of the future queen, kidnapped her, and dressed her up to suit him, but she was saved by Tuxedo Mask. When she and the other Sailor Senshi made a fro
Black Lady

Black Lady (Wicked Lady in the dub) is the brainwashed form of Chibiusa. Wiseman comes across the lonely Chibiusa, who is trying to find her place in the 30th Century, and manipulates her by twisting her memories of her family to bring out her dark-side, which triggers her transformation. As Chibiusa's dream is to become a beautiful lady like her mother, Black Lady's form is something like a femme fatale. Her history and personality differ between the manga and the anime. In the manga, she throws away the Luna-P after her transformation and derides it as a childish toy. She also uses her powers to brainwash and seduce her future father, Mamoru. It is the shock of witnessing the death of her closest friend, Sailor Pluto, that frees her from the dark power and causes Chibiusa to power up into Sailor Chibi Moon for the first time.In the anime, Black Lady hates her family and the Sailor Senshi and tries to kill them because she believes she is unloved. She considers her toy, Luna-P, as her only friend. The love of her parents restores her.Black Lady appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video game even though Chibiusa is present.Black Lady is voiced by Liz Brown in the English version.

Ayakashi Sisters

The four are subordinates of Rubeus. Their name is roughly translated in the subtitled DVDs as The Four Phantom Sisters; the exact meaning of ayakashi is "ghost that appears at sea during a shipwreck."In the manga, the Ayakashi Sisters appear as the first line of offense in the Black Moon Clan's attack on Tokyo in the 20th century. They were sent back with the mission of attacking Sailor Moon's four guardian soldiers, to whom they appear to be more than a match for. The sisters are associated with things like UFOs, fortune telling, and communion with the dead. Each of the four sisters lures and attacks their counterpart Sailor Soldier in a very violent way before being killed by Sailor Moon. While each of the Sailor Soldiers are badly injured, Rubeus appears out of nowhere and captures them. The single exception to this is Calaveras, who is able to weaken Sailor Venus but as Rubeus had just been attacked, she is able to escape with Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. The Black Moon Clan does not seem very concerned in the end about the loss of the sisters.Although the Sisters are able to soundly defeat their Senshi opposite in direct combat in the manga, it is uncertain if they are more powerful than their Senshi counterparts. During Petz's confrontation with Sailor Jupiter, she alludes that their power is derived from the Black Crystal, as she tells Jupiter "Your hurricane is of that level? Watch - the earring of the Evil Black Crystal can call a tornado!". This suggests that their victory over each Senshi is due to the power of the Black Crystal, as opposed to their own power.Like the rest of the clan, they all have the Black Moon insignia and wear earrings made of Black Crystal. In the anime, the four sisters receive considerably more screen time, and thus their characters are expanded. Instead of taking up "weird" hobbies, they are portrayed as shallow superhuman girls, thus being equally as concerned over their beauty as their mission, splurging on cosmetics, clothes, jewelry, and perfume, much to Rubeus's chagrin. The standoffs in the anime between the sisters and their counterparts begin to take place, except at the end each of the sisters is healed by Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal. They also seem to be more evenly matched, power wise, in the anime compared to their Senshi counterparts. The four of them are healed by Sailor Moon, and they become powerless humans and mourn their traumatic past on the Planet Nemesis while running a makeup stand. As in the manga, they all have the Black Moon insignia, though they do not wear earrings made of Black Crystal.

Petz

is the oldest of the four sisters. She is named for the mineral petzite and is the counterpart of Makoto Kino.In the manga, Petz is assigned "Code003: Operation Renew" - where she is to infect Tokyo with viruses and replace the weakened citizens with Droids. Makoto is infected by one of the viruses and passes out in her apartment, and awakens to her double trying to choke her. She transforms and attacks it as Sailor Jupiter, revealing it to be a droid. Petz then arrives in her UFO, expresses amusement that Jupiter is still alive, then swears vengeance for her two dead sisters. She and Jupiter fight, but Petz captures her inside of a tornado she summons using the Black Crystal. Petz watches Jupiter in the tornado and does not see the arrival of Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, and she is killed from behind by Moon Princess Halation, though Rubeus still succeeds in kidnapping Jupiter. In the anime, Petz often clashes with Calaveras, but the majority of both women's operations end up with them working together. She is very proud and is willing to step on others to achieve personal glory and power. She also appears bitter over a past relationship and reacts strongly when Calaveras teases her about it. After the betrayal of K?an and Berthier, Rubeus gives her a stick that will infinitely increase her dark powers and instructs her to use it to kill the Sailor Senshi and reconvert her fallen sisters. He also warns her not to fail. The stick dramatically increases Petz's powers and also corrupts her personality, allowing her to quickly gain the upper hand against the Sailor Senshi. She then turns on Calaveras and tries to kill her along with the other two sisters. However, the Senshi regain the advantage and knock the stick away from her, reducing her power again. Rubeus then appears and reveals to Petz that he had actually expected Petz to fail; his goal was not for her to succeed, but to lure the Sailor Senshi out and sacrifice all four sisters to kill them. He then activates the stick's true power and it creates a massive time-vacuum that threatens to pull in everyone around it. Petz, no longer possessed and remorseful, decides that she has enough power in her body to destroy the stick and jumps into the vortex to sacrifice herself to stop it. However, she is stopped by her other three sisters who convince her that they still love her. After the vortex is destroyed by the Sailor Senshi, Petz is purified along with Calaveras. Over time, Petz becomes less callous and more compassionate. Petz and her sisters soon discover a wounded Saphir, whom Petz tends to even though she at first thinks he came to punish her sisters. It is then that Petz and Saphir are revealed to have been romantically involved, and that Saphir is the person who caused Petz to be embittered about men. After Saphir is killed by Wiseman, Petz senses his death and is heartbroken, but remembers how he smiled for her.Petz appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video gam
Calaveras

is the second oldest of the sisters and has the ability, much like Tuxedo Mask, of communing with spirits of the dead. She is named for the mineral calaverite, and is a counterpart of Minako Aino. Calaveras is the only sister in the manga who Rubeus appears to flirt with.In the manga, she is the last sister to appear, and her mission is "Code004: Operation Rebirth." She is shown to have the power of channeling, and channels the spirit of Rubeus into Tokyo to brainwash the humans and change their allegiance from the White Moon to the Black Moon and to get them to destroy the Silver Crystal. When Sailor Venus confronts her at the channeling, Calaveras channels the three captive Sailor Senshi through Kotono, Asanuma, and Naru, as well as the spirits of her dead sisters, and has them use a Spirit Attack against Venus and holds her captive. However, because Rubeus was already injured by Tuxedo Mask, he is not able to collect Venus, and Calaveras is killed by Sailor Moon when she comes to rescue Venus. In the anime, Calaveras is shown to be a petty woman who indulges in relentlessly teasing her other siblings, especially Petz. She also appears unwilling to do anything for herself. She never accepts a single mission and instead tags along on several of Petz's missions and also follows Petz on one occasion to steal credit for Berthier's final mission. Even her final mission is one of Petz's, in which the elder sister was asked to use a powerful stick to kill the Sailor Senshi and reclaim her now purified siblings K?an and Berthier. While on the mission, Calaveras urges Petz to go ahead and destroy the Sailor Senshi, but Petz, corrupted by the stick, tries to kill everyone. Shocked by Petz's betrayal, Calaveras is shown pity by Sailor Moon and eventually comes to understand human love. She then tells the other Sailor Senshi about the stick's power. When Rubeus arrives and uses the stick to create a time-vacuum on the bridge, Calaveras stops Petz from falling into the vortex by catching her sister using her whip. After the Sailor Senshi destroy the stick, Calaveras accepts purification and becomes a normal human woman.Calaveras appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video game. She is encountered on one of the spaceships alongside the other Ayakashi Sisters. In Japanese, she is voiced by Akiko Hiramatsu. In English, she is voiced by Jennifer Griffiths and is changed to the second youngest sister. In the musicals, she is portrayed by Ado Endoh. In the manga, she uses the energy of her deceased sisters to attack Sailor Venus, though she fails to kidnap her. She lacks any psychic power in the anime, and her attack is the "Dark Beaut" whip.

Berthier

is the second youngest sister. Her name is French, coming from the mineral berthierite, and is pronounced roughly as "BEAR-tyay." She fears Rubeus but has no love interest for him unlike her other sisters. In the manga, Berthier is given the mission "Code002, Operation Remove" to kill the Sailor Senshi and capture Chibiusa. She disguises herself as a normal human and wows people with her dowsing abilities using a pendulum. When she sees Ami Mizuno find a leak in a pipe without using a pendulum, she deduces her identity as a Sailor Senshi. Skilled at chess, Berthier goes on television to challenge Ami to a chess match. At the match, she calls her "Sailor Mercury", and tries to use the Black Crystal to manipulate and capture her. A fight breaks out between Berthier, Mercury, Jupiter, and Moon, in which Berthier is shown to be powerful enough to deflect Mercury's Shine Snow Illusion attack. At the end, Berthier uses the water from a sewer to surround and choke Mercury, allowing Rubeus to abduct her. Berthier is then killed by Sailor Moon.In the anime, Berthier has a very darkly playful personality, but is shown to have great respect for all of her siblings. She is the only one shown to be upset when K?an is purified by the Silver Crystal. Much like her counterpart in Ami, she is also a strategist and is incredibly talented at chess, though she apparently also cheats. On her final mission, Berthier plays a deadly game of chess with Sailor Mercury, but her plan to freeze them all fails when Petz and Calaveras arrive and tell her they will claim credit for her success regardless of what it means for her. Momentarily distracted, she loses her chance at the killing blow against Sailor Mercury when Tuxedo Mask arrives and rescues her and the other Sailor Senshi. Her two older sisters then abandon her as a failure when Berthier turns to them for help. Distraught, Berthier first laughs off her loss, but the laughter turns into tears of hopelessness and rage as she uses her Dark Water power to freeze herself and everyone around her. However, a newly healed K?an convinces her that she is still loved and has a second chance. Berthier relents in her suicidal gambit, and allows Sailor Moon to heal her. Later, she and K?an, along with the Sailor Senshi, are able to convince their other two sisters to join them and become normal women.Berthier appears as a boss in the "Sailor Moon: Another Story" video game. She is encountered on one of the spaceships alongside the other Ayakashi Sisters. In the second official Sailor Moon popularity poll, out of fifty choices, Berthier was the nineteenth most popular character in the series. In the Japanese anime she is voiced by Yuri Amano. In English, she is voiced by Kathleen Laskey and is changed to the youngest sister. She is the only sister that doesn't appear in the first version of Ankoku no Princess Black Lady musical, but does she appear in the revision portrayed by Manami Wakayama, who would later go on to play Sailor Mercury. Her attack is &qu
K?an

is the youngest of the sisters with the "Dark Fire" magical attack, called "Ice Fire" in the dub, and represents a counterpart of Rei Hino. Her name is short for , the Japanese word for kermesite. In the manga, K?an tells Rubeus she feels someone like her that is kindred to fire and could be convinced to join the Black Moon. In her appearance, K?an is shown to be strong enough to deflect Sailor Moon's tiara. Rubeus gives her "Code001, Operation Recruit" to convert humans to their cause. She poses as a student named Kurozaki K?an at the T

A Girl's Academy where Rei Hino attends and becomes the leader of a paranormal club called the Black Moon. The leader of the other supernatural club on campus is disturbed by how cold her hands and eyes are, and a black saucer-shaped object flies away after she leaves. Rei later has a nightmare about K?an using her powers to burn the body of a child. At the school's culture festival, she sets up a booth telling fortunes of how and when her clients will die, but when Rei appears, tells her that everyone must die, but those who follow the Black Moon will die better. After Rei uncovers droids disguised as nuns, she transforms into Sailor Mars and defeats them, at which point K?an reveals herself. In the ensuing battle, she blasts Sailor Mars with fire, and, in retaliation, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask kill her using the Cutie Moon Rod. Mars, who was still stuck in K?an's flames, is then abducted by Rubeus.
In the anime, K?an, like all of her sisters, is very vain about her appearance to the point of swearing death upon anyone who smudges her make-up or ruins her hair, and she relies on her charms to get what she wants. She believes that she and Rubeus are in a relationship, and competes with her sisters for his love. However, upon getting him a gift of cologne, he cruelly crushes it in front of her and tells her that her next mission will be her last if she fails him. While trying to survey the Hikawa Shrine for the appearance of Chibiusa, she appears condescending of the relationship Rei and Yuuichiro possess and often compares them unfavorably to her perceived strong relationship with Rubeus. She later gets caught up in a discussion with Rei and Usagi, when Rei claims that the most important thing in a relationship is you believe in and love the other person, and Koan disagrees, claiming it only matters how much the other persons loves you. Her beliefs are put to the test when Chibiusa finally arrives and K?an goes to abduct her. Yuuichiro and Rei (as Sailor Mars) both get injured while trying to protect each other, which surprises K?an because of how she had perceived the two of them before. She ultimately fails to capture Chibiusa, and Rubeus appears to evaluate her. She begs him for his help, believing their love will be enough, but he tells her he has no use for her anymore and that he never loved her. He gives her a time-bomb and tells her to kill herself and the Sailor Senshi, and then abandons her. Sailor Mars sees
Spotted Tilmun

Spotted Tilmun was a musical-only character who appeared only in Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady. He was a member of the Black Moon Clan. Although it was never explained why, he had a half crescent moon on his forehead, for which Esmeraude looked down on him. He shared a friendship with Aaron and Manna because they were misfits within the Clan. When the Black Moon Clan held a contest to lure out the Sailor Senshi, he acted as the announcer under the name "Roppongi Tilmun."When Death Phantom began killing the Black Moon members, Tilmun died protecting Aron and Manna. He was played by Ikuya Moro. The character did not appear in the revision.

Aron and Mana

Aron and Mana are twin girls belonging to the Black Moon Clan. Neither have the Black Moon symbol on their foreheads, and the acceptance into the clan as full members is a minor plot in the musical Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady and its revision. Aron and Mana wear inverted costumes, Aron wears purple while Mana wears red. They had parents from Nemesis and Earth. They are sent by Wiseman to convince Chibiusa that nobody cares for her. When given a rose each by Tuxedo Mask, the two begin to have doubts about invading Earth. When Tuxedo Mask is seduced by Black Lady, Aron and Mana gives him back the roses, breaking the spell and distracting Black Lady long enough for Tuxedo Mask to take her Silver Crystal. They are killed by Wiseman after Black Lady is reverted to Chibiusa.Aron and Mana are portrayed by Nagisa Adaniya and Kasumi Suzuki respectively.

Droids

In the manga, the Droids were manufactured by Saphir, using the power of the Black Crystal, and were similar in shape and form. According to the Materials Collection, the manga droids were like robots resembling sand figurines; they had no eyes or mouths, and they could only produce screeching noises rather than words. They were able to take on the guise of humans. In the anime, all of the droids were individuals, and all could talk. When they were destroyed, they dissolved into a pile of sand, implying that they were similar to their manga counterparts, though they also produced a gemstone with the clan's moon on it that faded away after its defeat.

Boule Brothers

The Boule Brothers Chiral and Achiral (named Doom and Gloom in the dubbed version) are droids who are under the service of Green Esmeraude even appearing on her page in the Materials Collection art book. They are more significant in the manga than the anime. In the manga, the brothers greet the Sailor Senshi when they arrive in Crystal Tokyo. They create a replica of the Crystal Palace as a trap. When Sailor Moon attacks them, she is paralyzed by a magnetic field from a man-made crystal at her feet. Tuxedo Mask destroys the crystal by willing it to break, and the brothers are killed. The brothers' anime counterparts grow "Dark Henges" at J?ban Park and J?ban Elementary School. They cause all of the pupils and teachers at the school to fight each other. They attack Chibiusa's best friend, Momoko, which causes Chibiusa to reveal her identity as "The Rabbit" to the Black Moon Clan. The Sailor Scouts fought off Doom and Gloom, but were at a disadvantage until Chibiusa (after her friend Momoko took a hit from the Boule Brothers to save her) unleashed her power and attacked Doom and Gloom. They survived and resumed their attack against the Sailor Scouts, but Tuxedo Mask stopped them. As they attempted to hide underground, Sailor Jupiter drove them out with Sparkling Wide Pressure and Sailor Moon destroyed them both with Moon Princess Halation.Chiral is voiced by Masashi Ebara and Achiral by Ryoutarou Okiayu.

Veneti and Aquatici

Veneti and Aquatici are a pair of Droids in both the manga and musicals. They are considered perfect creations by Saphir. They were wisp-like beings in the manga but humanoid in the musical. Veneti had a masculine form in the manga while Aquatici had a feminine form, but it is unknown if they have genders. They were both female, or at least played by female actors, in the Musical. In the musicals, Veneti was played by Izumi Ogino and Aquatici was played by Yuka Kuwahara.
