Amber Dawn MacArthur born on June 27, 1976 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island* is a Canadian television personality best known for her work as co-host alongside Leo Laporte of Call for Help, a technology help television program, which airs on G4techTV Canada in Canada and on HOW TO Channel in Australia. She is also co-host (along with Mike Lazazzera) of commandN, a weekly vidcast which covers technology trends both online and offline. She previously was a co-host of Gadgets and Gizmos with Marc Saltzman and Andy Walker until the show ended production for 2005. Through October 2006, Amber worked on a podcast with her Call for Help co-host Leo Laporte called Inside the Net, which then morphed into net@nite, a Sunday evening live broadcast. She also hosts the new G4techTV Canada program, Torrent.
MacArthur is originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and currently lives in Toronto. She enjoys running, snowboarding, usability articles, and spontaneous road trips. Her brother is Jeff MacArthur.

Moving on to Citytv
On 28 August 2006, MacArthur announced on her blog that she was leaving her position at G4TechTV and would no longer appear on Call For Help, Torrent, or Gadgets and Gizmos. In mid-September, she joined Citytv in Toronto as a Internet/New-Media reporter, as well as host and producer of a weekly show on CablePulse 24 in late October. She first appeared on the station's CityNews at Six, commenting in another reporter's story on 9/11 conspiracy theories propagated through the Internet. She continues to host CommandN.
