AIM Mail is a webmail service provided by AOL. Its main competitors are Gmail, MSN Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail. The "AIM" in the name stands for AOL Instant Messenger, AOL's instant messaging program.
History AOL purchased MailBlocks on August 4, 2004, to add an application-like web interface to its AOL Mail service. This interface is also showcased in AIM Mail. Features AIM Mail has the following features available at no cost: Advertising is displayed while working with the e-mail account.
